The next post will have pictures I promise!
So the region of Berlin that I am staying in with my roommate Thurston is Kreuzberg. It is a beautiful region with a ridiculous number of different architectural designs. These designs can change from building to building and many times they even change within the same facades of housing. The complexes are typically about 5 floors tall, although there is a good mix of 4 floorers and 6 floorers as well. The ceilings are very high, and the living spaces in these types of housing are generally very big, so for people like Thurston and I, these houses feel very welcoming and warm. Speaking of warm, Berlin has been about 90 degrees and sunny every day since we got here, a bit too hot for me honestly. But back to the region, I really enjoy it here, in a gigantic city like Berlin, the small suburban population here is a little refreshing when we come back in the afternoons and nights. Thanks for reading, bis bald!
